What does it cost to get custom design work done?
Design costs:
What is a design cost? It is the time spent determining what you want for your company, your likes and dislikes of colors and shapes. I spend time with my clients learning about their business and products so I can best get a feel for how their unique style can best be presented to the world. The difference between ordering a standard design from a template on the Internet and actually talking with the person that will be doing your design work is they have the vision through your eyes and not someone that has never met you or hasn't a clue what you want.
- Brochure: 8 x 11 both sides tri-fold or half-fold - $175 including 3 client revisions and time with client to determine needs.
- Postcard: 4 x 6 both sides color, with customer provided logo - $50 including 3 client revisions and time spent with client to determine ideas.
- Business Card: $25 - standard size, color both sides or black and white. I do not use templates and each design is unique to your company.
Logos and branded graphics - In my mind, the first step. This is what makes your company stand out and is probably the most important step to improving your image - $500 for a complete package of colors, logo, backgrounds and images to be used in future campaigns, this includes 3 revisions. You can have other materials done without this step, but if you wish a cohesive look to all your materials, it is vital to spend the time talking and figuring out what you want for your business.
Company website:
- $300-$500 for a basic site with 3-4 pages and a contact form.
- Add a Calendar Feature for $75 that you can edit yourself with dates, times and details
- Additional costs are $35 a year for hosting and $10 for domain registration.
If a template is used and modified, the cost of template belongs to the client - usually free - $65 depending on what the client wishes. I don't do programming to make a template work, I work with templates and modify and redesign the graphics to make it unique.
You can pay much more, and I reserve the right to accept or reject a client based on the amount of time a client needs in order to get the work done. Time is money, and while I spend a good deal of time learning about a client's business, I cannot be their total business coach to the extent that there's no time left to do the work needed. Most my clients become friends and have a close bond with me due to the benefits I offer to their companies. I am also available by the hour for business consulting and charge $50 per hour telephone time and can visit your facility with costs and time to be negotiated depending on where you are located. Feel free to contact any of my listed site owners and ask about me.
